Dooitu DIY | FIMO Vase Flowers Candy Colours
Spring is here - just the time to brighten up those dusty basement pots. With FIMO soft in pastel spring colors and a little creativity, you can work wonders. And usher in spring in style.
🖤 Step-by-step tutorial:
1 - Roll out 1 block of FIMO in each of the taupe, vanilla and mint colors in a sheet using the clay machine on setting 2. Tip: Work in progress and leftover material should be protected from sun and heat and can be stored in a screw top jar or clear film to protect from dust and dirt.
2 - Draw several lines 2.5 inches apart on the mint sheet. Mark the bottom line at 3-inch intervals. Do the same for the top line. The first mark should be 1.5 inches from the left edge. Then cut the sheet from the top mark to the bottom mark using the blade, to make equilateral triangles. Alternatively, you can make the shapes using a triangular cutter.
3 - To create some variety in the triangles, you can incorporate some metal leaves. Lay a sheet of metal leaf on the gray FIMO sheet and carefully press it in with a stencil brush. To create the cracked effect, go over the sheet with the acrylic roller to break up the metal leaf.
4 - Now attach all the triangles to the flower pot. The best way to do this is to start at the top edge and work your way down.
5 - Once you have applied all the triangles in 2 rows, you can cover the bottom of the flower pot with a sheet of white FIMO.
6 - Now cut away the excess FIMO from the bottom of the flower pot and let the pot harden in the oven for 30 minutes at 110° C / 230° F. Let it cool and you're done!
