FIMO® AIR | Artwork made as with clay, without firing in a kiln

STAEDTLER FIMOair is a modeling paste that solidifies in air. The solidification time depends on the thickness of the objects being modeled. This means that you do not need to put your works in an oven to make them solidify. Nevertheless, they are still very resistant to breakage. As soon as the objects have solidified, you can continue working with them. FIMOair is available in four versions, ideal for making different objects: FIMOair, FIMOair light, FIMOair granite-effect and FIMOair wood-effect.

FIMOair granite-effect - objects with the appearance of granite

With FIMOair granite-effect it is possible to make work that resembles granite. FIMOair granite-effect also does not require an oven, as the models air dry.

FIMOair wood-effect - Break-resistant modeling paste

FIMOair wood-effect is available in wood-like color. The paste contains cellulose fibers that give molded objects a particularly natural appearance. Most creative enthusiasts use it to make puppets, marionettes or sculptures; in fact, one of its characteristics is that after solidification it becomes especially hard and resistant to breaking.

Important to know:

FIMOair, FIMOair light, FIMOair granite-effect and FIMOair wood-effect.

  • Molded objects solidify only at room temperature. Do not try to accelerate the solidification process with a hair dryer or sunlight.
  • Doing so may cause the models to crack.
  • The thicker the models, the longer it takes from a few hours to a few days to achieve complete solidification.
  • During the solidification process, turn the object several times. This will result in even solidification without unwanted deformation or denting.
